Privacy Policy — VisitandMedCare Virtual Care

This policy explains what the VisitandMedCare Virtual Care mobile application collects, why, and what
control you have over it. It applies to the app only. If you have any question about it, write to
info@visitandmedcare.com.

What the app collects
- Account details — your name and email address when you create an account, and the clinic your account is linked to.
- Health card — age, height, weight, country of residence, chronic conditions, current medications, psychiatric conditions, allergies and past surgeries, when you choose to enter them.
- Recovery check-ins — pain and nausea scores, whether you walked, hydration, breathing, and any notes you write.
- Recovery photos — only the photos you deliberately choose to upload for a nurse to review.
- Messages — what you send to the in-app assistant (Vera) and to your care team, including whether a message was flagged as urgent.
- Requests you make — for example asking to be connected to a clinic, or requesting an optional service.
You can use the app as a guest, without an account, to explore it with sample data. In guest mode no personal
account is created.
What we never do
- We never use your data for advertising.
- We never sell or rent your data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.
- We never track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not collect your location in the background.
Why we process it
Solely to provide your care: so your surgical and nursing team can follow your recovery, answer your questions,
review photos you send, remind you about medication, and reach you when something needs attention. We do not use
your health information for any other purpose.
Who can see it
Your information is visible to you and to the VisitandMedCare clinical and coordination team responsible for your
care. It is stored on servers operated by Supabase (hosted in the European Union) acting as our data processor.
We may disclose information where we are legally required to do so.
Medical disclaimer
The app provides education and care coordination. It does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment. The in-app
assistant never diagnoses and never changes your medication; anything requiring a clinical decision is passed to a
member of the medical team. In an emergency, call your local emergency number (112 in Türkiye).
How long we keep it
We keep your app data while your account exists. If you delete your account, the app data listed above is deleted
immediately. Medical records that the clinic is required by law to retain are kept separately by the clinic for the
period the applicable health legislation requires.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and Türkiye’s KVKK you may access, correct, export or erase your personal data, object to or
restrict processing, and lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. The app gives you two of these
directly:
- Download my data — Profile → Privacy & Data → Download my data, which exports everything we store about you as a readable file.
- Delete my account — Profile → Privacy & Data → Delete my account, which permanently deletes your account and its data.
For anything else, write to info@visitandmedcare.com and we will
respond within 30 days.
Children
The app is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant,
notify you in the app.
